The project aimed to create a personal handbook that will support students in the learning of the English language through the discovery of the European values. The CLIL methodology was used to focus on language skills through the knowledge of our common rights, values and possibilities as European citizens. In the 4 units of the book students created (working collaboratively)videos, vocabulary activities, games and exercises related to the learning of the main aspects of living in Europe.
In the project worked primary classes from Italy (Chieti) and Greece and two secondary schools: one from Termoli (Italy) and one form Malta)
At the very beginning of the project teachers highlighted the start of the story that with the development of its plot would have guided students towards better language competences and a deep reflection about the advantages coming from the fact we are European citizens. Partner teachers decided that the book would have had 4 units each one with an episode of the story. The story would have been the guide line for the grammar focus and the new lexicon learning.
In Greece were involved students from both 5th and 6th grade that managed to do the activities during the Social and Civic lessons as well as the Art one.
